In conjunction with the Cardinia landscape assessment study, the officer west visual assessment sets out to identify the visually sensitive viewing locations of proposed water storage tanks through on site field work. The visually sensitive locations identified, required photomontage images of the proposed development to be tested, to represent of the potential visual impact.
hansen generated 3d computer modelling proposed storage facilities followed by the preparation of photomontage images to demonstrate the likely visual impact resulting from the introduction of these new storage facilities into the existing landscape.
The photomontage images provided the basis to determine the extent of the resulting visual impact and the degree to which landscape treatments were required to ameliorate that impact.
The landscape plans go to further detail and indicate the type, extent and quantity of planting (and any other landscape treatments) which are considered necessary to ameliorate the visual impacts as previously identified in the visual impact assessment phase of work.
