hansen was engaged by VicUrban to prepare design guidelines for VicUrban’s new Narre Warren North project. The design guidelines are intended to protect the lifestyle and investment of future residents by ensuring a high standard of design, construction and maintenance of all homes and landscaping.
The guidelines were prepared to assist prospective home purchasers and/or builders in designing their new homes with high levels of amenity, privacy, sustainability and visual appeal, in terms of architectural form, building materials, colours and landscape treatments. The guidelines aim to encourage individuality and the reflection of a contemporary and modern design character in all new homes.
The guidelines comprised a number of sections, addressing building context, building design, landscape design and lifestyle and sustainability. Within each section, design objectives and design controls are provided.
VicUrban intends to use the guidelines as the primary means by which prospective house designs are assessed and approved for construction in the Narre Warren North development.
