20/10/2008 planning excellence commendation
Following the Planning Excellence 2008 Victorian Awards Ceremony, held on Friday 17th October, hansen is proud to have received a Commendation in the Rural and Regional Planning Achievement Category, for the 'Warrnambool & Moyne Development Program'.
Hosted by the Planning Institute of Australia (PIA), these Awards recognise Excellence in the Victorian planning industry.
The Warrnambool and Moyne Development Program has been developed by hansen for Warrnambool City Council to establish an annual report on the supply and demand for residential, industrial, low density residential and rural living zoned land in and around the City.
hansen has produced a comprehensive package comprising a highly informative and graphically attractive set of brochures, a coherent computer model and an easy-to-understood manual - all at a relatively low cost - that will undoubtedly prove to be a major tool for the planning of Warrnambool into the future.
The Panel was impressed by the simplicity of the program and its built-in flexibility, and considered it a major contribution to ensuring that planning decisions regarding land supply are well-informed.
