professor roz hansen announces her retirement from hansen

After many years of being a partner, including the Managing Director, of a multi award winning planning, urban design and landscape architecture consultancy I have decided to retire from hansen partnership as of 31 December 2011. Decisions such as this one are always difficult but I know that the company is in extremely capable hands led by five enthusiastic, talented and highly respected partners namely David Barnes, Craig Czarny, Sandra Rigo, Damian Iles and Steve Schutt. David will become the new Managing Director having been a planner who has worked closely with me since 1988 providing valuable assistance and sound advice in the growth, diversification and success of the business.

I also wish to express my sincere gratitude to the other members of the hansen team including Senior Associate Gary Wissenden and Associates Emily Hillebrand, Lucinda Hartley and Freya Shaw and, of course, a very big thanks to the other professionals and administrative personnel all of whom have energised me over many years, kept me on my toes and made me feel part of a harmonious team.

So what will I be doing once I retire from hansen partnership? I will continue to work in the planning and property development industry but with a focus on the international market. My passion for planning has been rekindled by the overseas projects I have had the good fortune to work on with other talented professionals and I want to explore further these opportunities as a sole practitioner.

I would like to thank you for your friendship, loyalty and trust in me during my time as a partner of hansen partnership.

Yours sincerely,
Professor Roz Hansen
