Ben joined the hansen team during his last year of study and continues to prove himself to be a highly valued staff member. He recently graduated with a Bachelor of Urban Planning and Development (Hons) from The University of Melbourne, and the practical application of his theoretical studies has provided him with a well rounded balance of both academic capability and experience in the field.

Ben brings a reassuring level of enthusiasm and attention to detail to his work and is committed to providing clear and valuable communication to both the client and fellow team members. He is a dedicated problem solver who aims to find reasonable and justifiable solutions to any issue presented to him.

In his time with hansen Ben has demonstrated proficiency in a wide range of planning responsibilities, from multi-unit residential and commercial development applications, to planning scheme amendments and preparing VCAT expert evidence statements. Ben has been able to build on his planning experience through involvement with urban design focused projects and a number of strategic projects including three industrial land use strategies for both inner and outer Melbourne municipalities.
