Jane joined hansen partnership while in her final year of a Master of Planning and Environment at RMIT. Having extensive previous experience running small businesses, her time and project management skills have been honed in a practical environment and further refined through the management of a number of complex strategic planning projects.
She has experience across a wide range of planning projects and processes, working regularly on matters before VCAT, in assessment and preparation of planning scheme amendments, large scale statutory planning applications and on strategic planning and urban design projects. In addition, she has a clear appreciation of the operation of the VPPs and the planning structures operating within the Victorian context. Her excellent communication skills assist in the wide range of consultation and stakeholder engagement that her work entails.
Jane has also travelled extensively through Europe, South East Asia, Australia and the Middle East, increasing her global awareness and allowing her insights into alternative modes of living. Jane's background and personal interests mean she has a strong awareness of a wide range of sustainability issues and a firm belief that planning has a critical role to play the future sustainability of our cities. Growing up with an architect, she also has a keen appreciation of the finer points of good design.
Jane embraces the complexities and wider impacts of planning but also possesses the ability to pinpoint the key issues in any project. She demonstrates clear enthusiasm for a wide range of planning projects, with particular interest in larger scale projects which shape and influence communities and future modes of living.
